An archival limited-edition print of the original commissioned painting Wolf, created with materials gathered across the landscapes of Arizona and Northern California.
I gathered sandstone from Arizona, basalt from Stinson Beach and ochre from California’s Eel River, bringing them together with pyrite. The materials were crushed and ground into pigments in my studio, then worked directly into the original canvas. Their natural variations created the warm earth tones, volcanic greys and subtle mineral highlights within the work.
Originally created as a private commission, Wolf brings together desert, coast and river; three distinct landscapes held within one surface. The work does not simply reference these places; the original painting is materially formed from them.
This archival giclée edition faithfully reproduces the original painting’s color, gesture and texture. Printed with archival inks on fine-art paper or canvas, it preserves the visual story of the gathered materials but does not contain the raw pigments themselves.
Limited edition of 50 across all sizes and materials.
Signed, numbered and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
