'West Marin 4' - Limited Edition Print

from $258.00

MARIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

An archival limited-edition print of an original painting created with materials gathered across the coastal landscape of Marin County.

THE MATERIAL

I gathered sandstone from Bolinas, redwood charcoal from Point Reyes, mussel shells from Inverness and spring water from Mount Tamalpais. The sandstone, charcoal and shells were processed into pigments in my studio, then combined with the spring water and worked directly into the original canvas. Their natural variations created the smoky blacks, coastal earth tones and soft shell textures within the work.

THE STORY OF PLACE

The original painting brings together coastline, redwood forest, mountain and water; not simply depicting Marin County, but carrying the physical elements of its landscape within the surface.

FROM ORIGINAL TO PRINT

This archival giclée edition faithfully reproduces the original painting’s color, gesture and texture. Printed with archival inks on fine-art paper or canvas, it preserves the visual story of the gathered materials but does not contain the raw pigments themselves.

PRINT DETAILS

Limited edition of 50 across all sizes and materials.
Signed, numbered and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

MADE TO ORDER

Your print is individually produced to order and carefully prepared for shipment. Please allow approximately 2–4 weeks for production.
