An archival limited-edition print of the original commissioned painting Blooming 1, created with red earth from Western Australia, atlantisite from Tasmania and mussel shells gathered along the California coast.
I gathered and processed each material by hand, crushing and grinding them into pigments before working them directly into the original canvas. Their natural variations created the rust reds, mineral greens and soft shell tones within Blooming 1; allowing the landscapes themselves to determine the palette.
Created as part of my Blooming series, Blooming 1 brings the individual blooms together like a bouquet. Materials from Australia and California meet within the same surface, forming an abstract expression of growth, connection and renewal after fire.
This archival giclée edition faithfully reproduces the original painting’s color, gesture and texture. Printed with archival inks on fine-art paper or canvas, it preserves the visual story of the gathered materials but does not contain the raw pigments themselves.
Limited edition of 50 across all sizes and materials.
