'San Diego 1' - Limited Edition Print

from $258.00

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA

An archival limited-edition print of the original painting San Diego 1, created with materials gathered across the Southern California landscape.

THE MATERIAL

I gathered sandstone from San Diego and Santa Barbara, alongside charcoal from Topanga Canyon following the Palisades Fire. The materials were crushed and ground into pigments in my studio, then worked directly into the original canvas. Their natural variations created the warm mineral tones, smoky blacks and gestural textures within the work.

THE STORY OF PLACE

Created as part of Pigments of Place: Southern California, San Diego 1 brings together materials from the coast and the fire-marked landscape of Topanga; not simply depicting the region, but carrying its physical landscape within the original surface.

FROM ORIGINAL TO PRINT

This archival giclée edition faithfully reproduces the original painting’s color, gesture and texture. Printed with archival inks on fine-art paper or canvas, it preserves the visual story of the gathered materials but does not contain the raw pigments themselves.

PRINT DETAILS

Limited edition of 50 across all sizes and materials.
Signed, numbered and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Frame not included.

Printed to order; please allow up to four weeks.
