An archival limited-edition print of the original commissioned painting Lake Tahoe 10, created with materials gathered from the Lake Tahoe and northern Nevada landscape.
I gathered charcoal from Lake Tahoe, sandstone from Nevada’s Pine Nut Mountains and smoky quartz from South Lake Tahoe. Back in my studio, the materials were crushed and ground into pigments, then worked directly into the original canvas. Their natural variations created the smoky blacks, mineral greys and warm earth tones within the work.
Originally created as a private commission, Lake Tahoe 10 brings together materials from the lake, surrounding mountains and high desert; not simply depicting the region, but carrying its physical landscape within the original surface.
This archival giclée edition faithfully reproduces the original painting’s color, gesture and texture. Printed with archival inks on fine-art paper or canvas, it preserves the visual story of the gathered materials but does not contain the raw pigments themselves.
Limited edition of 50 across all sizes and materials.
Signed, numbered and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
