An archival limited-edition print of the original commissioned painting Bloom 4, created with red earth from Western Australia and atlantisite from Tasmania.
I gathered the red earth and atlantisite, then crushed and ground the materials into pigments in my studio before working them directly into the original canvas. Their natural variations created the rich rust reds, mineral greens and layered textures within Bloom 4; allowing the Australian landscape itself to determine the palette.
Created as part of my Blooming series, Bloom 4 is my interpretation of what begins to grow after fire. Bringing together materials from opposite sides of Australia, the work transforms fire-like reds and mineral greens into an expression of regeneration and renewal.
This archival giclée edition faithfully reproduces the original painting’s color, gesture and texture. Printed with archival inks on fine-art paper or canvas, it preserves the visual story of the gathered materials but does not contain the raw pigments themselves.
Limited edition of 50 across all sizes and materials.
