WEST MARIN

For this series, I gathered a variety of pigments from Stinson Beach, Bolinas, Inverness, and Point Reyes including basalt, sandstone, and mussel shells. I mixed the water from Mount Tamalpais with the pigments to form the paint.

West Marin is an incredibly special place to me, with its rugged coastline and towering redwood forests, it is where I learnt to surf, fell in love with oysters, and spent early mornings harvesting seaweed along the bodega coast.

This series was on display during my art show WEST MARIN PIGMENTS at OCN Culture in San Anselmo. A percentage of sales was donated to SeaTrees, a non profit that plants, protects, and restores coastal eco systems around the world to reverse climate change.
