Western Australia
I was born in Western Australia, a place that shaped my earliest sense of beauty and belonging. Its vast horizons, from desert to ocean, taught me how to see - the burnished reds of iron-rich earth, the deep blues of the Indian Ocean, the ochres and loams pulled from the roots of ancient trees. Here, nature is both raw and intricate: windswept dunes, rugged cliffs, salt flats that shimmer under a high sun. It’s a land where pigment runs deep in the soil itself, and those colors have stayed in my hands ever since. This series of paintings carries the memory of that place - its wild expanse, its elemental textures, and the way it first opened me to the language of the natural world.
